A lot of our volunteers are extremely busy people. We understand that offering volunteer opportunities that fit within your schedule and foster independence is important. Please read the following to learn more:

Donation Pick-up/Delivery:
The food bank collects surplus breads and sweets from local grocery stores every day of the week (Monday-Friday). Volunteers are always needed to help us grow this program.
Volunteer with our Monthly Mobile Pantry in Madisonville:
Once a month, Brazos Valley Food Bank distribute food directly to families in need in Madisonville in a drive-through mobile pantry. Mobile pantries typically occur on the 4th Thursday of every month, from 11 am – 1 pm. Volunteers are needed to interact with families in need, determining eligibility; volunteers are needed to bag food; volunteers are needed to load food into cars.
Conduct a Food Drive:
The food bank depends on donations. Organizing a food drive is great way to develop leadership skills, organize the community for a good cause and to play a direct role in the fight against hunger.
The best way for us to match your interest and talents with our needs is for you and our Volunteer Coordinator to meet. Please send an inquiry email to our Volunteer Coordinator explaining:
- Why you want to volunteer with us and in what capacity
- Days and hours of the week you are available to volunteer
- Include your name, telephone number, email address.
THANKS!
